This week’s blog will be the last for this school year. The article is not long, but it should lead you to think about the social and ethical issues involved. Google is now offering to store personal health records online. There are implications to this that involve security concerns and questions of accurate information. Go to the first link below and read the article. Then, go to the second link and view the tour of Google Health. Write a reflective comment that demonstrates you have read both Web pages and have addressed my questions.
Keeping personal health records on the Web has potential good and bad aspects. What do you think would be the greatest advantage to this system? What do you think would be the greatest disadvantage? What personal information would you be willing to put in your online personal health records and what would you want to withhold? How much control should your doctor have over your online records?

I think that the greatest advantage is that the hospital or doctor will know your blood type and allergies. Disadvantage is that a doctor won’t know the accuracy. I would only put the blood type, allergies, age, and etc. I would with hold my medications because not a lot of medications are permitted. I think that your doctor should have all control on medical record.
The greatest advantage for this system would be searching for doctors and clinics to go to for more advise and help. In my opinion, there are rarely any disadvantages. Maybe one could disadvantage would be if someone hacks in and sees all your medical history and changes some things because it could put the patient at risks. Some personal information I would be willing to put is my blood type, allergies, diseases, viruses, or any of these things. I would withhold the drugs I use because maybe they’re illegal or prohibited in my country. I think my doctor should have a lot of control over my medical records. For example, if I have a tumor or diabetes, I would want him to follow up on me and tell me about some new medications I should be taking to help my disease or sickness.

All the hospital have their own health record of each patient, but we don't need them, because we can see it on the online. But, the bad thing is that our privacy/our personal information can be shown. So, many people can get my or else's personal information. If I use this health record, I'll just put on the information sheet for my illness, my name, my age and my birthday.
I think that the health record on the online could be useful. All the hospitals have their own health record of each patient, so I don’t think that we would need an online health record, because we can see it in the hospital. But the advantage that you could have from online health records is that you can see it from anywhere you like. But, the bad thing is that the internet is not always working, for example if someone’s internet broke down then they cannot access their health records.
The greatest advantage is that you can keep all of your information on it and not have to worry about losing your hand written information. The worse advantage is that the company could use some of the information against you. I would put all the information on it that wouldn't do any harm to me. I would have to not put information like allergies on it. The doctor would have to have a limited amount of control. What if the doctor used my allergies against me.
Personally I think the greatest advantage is that people wont have to go to doctors, they can communicate using the internet which helps a lot of patients that are put in wheel chairs and patients that are unable to walk at all. However there are some disadvantages, one would be that what if the system got hacked all the patients’ files would be hacked and maybe people would play with them. Personally I would only put the disises I have because that’s what this thing is used for. I would never put my personal information on this site. Doctors should have 1000% control over these online records for security reasons.
I think the greatest advantage is you can check it easily anytime you want. In the offline, we have to go to the hospital or find the data. But on the other side, I hope not, but there would be hackers who stole the person’s privacy or information. When they stole the information,that would be surf all around the Internet. I would like to put my birth or my id number. When they put the records, I think there should be check with mobile or e-mail not to mix the all the information. However I would not put my name or none of the detailed information. In my opinion, doctor can trust the online records. Because it would be easy to found and accurate. And also, I think there is no advantage with google when they cheat the recordes.
I think that one of the great advantages is that if you are in an accident or something else bad happens to the doctor or a surgeont or whoever will have your medical records the only downside is you never know how safe it can be someone could go and steal, look at or try to delete your information which is definitely not good
The greatest advantage would probably be that docters would have quick and easy access to important medical files such as allergies, blood types and special medical conditions and what types of medicane you might possibly take. However, the downside to this is that sometimes the docters wouldn't have fully updated files and that could be potentially dangerous. I would only want to put on important information about my medical history, such as what medicine I take, blood type and allergies I might possibly have. the docters should only have a limited contol over what you put on your medical files over the internet.
I think a doctor would be a good advantage to the system. The disadvantage is that the doctor has to know exactly what you have. I think the doctor should have a lot of control on the online records because they are very important!
