No I do not because my parents don’t approve of it because they don’t trust the websites. I don’t think shopping online will become any more popular than now-a-days. I think people will still go to stores for the excitement of it, and because most of the people aren’t going to wait for a long time till their product would be delivered from shopping online. What I learned is that you should look for seals of approval such as logos for the authenticity of the site that you want to buy from, and to check if the site has an http because it would have an encrypted transmissions. I taught them that a person could actually go online and do shopping and be safe and secure that nothing would happen if they only take some precautions. I think using credit cards is the most risky because there are a lot of hackers that could hack into your credit cards and find out everything about you and start using it for their personal use and basically rob

I, myself, don't shop online. But if I do, then with my parents together. And if we shop online, then only at websites that we trust, and where we know that they are secure. I think online shopping will get a bit more popular than it is today, especially in IT products. But I think that most things will still be available at normal shops. I don't think that people will stop going to stores, since buying a product in a store has a profit: you have your product immediately. When buying online, your product will have to be sent through post, which can be fast or take a while. I actually didn't learn especially much new. Before already, I knew that it is important to use any chance to use a https-connection. Including, I also have often seen on TV news reports to be careful about any websites, where you are prompted to enter your credit card number. I could actually also not teach my parents anything new. Especially my father is very careful in anything that regards security. I think the most risky is the credit card. You give in the number and that's it. But this number could get into wrong hands, even though it was accidental.

Yes I do shop online and will continue to do so. I am aware of these conflicts and the risks there may be by shopping online but the stores I purchase from are extremely well known and their websites are safe. I think it will become a bit more popular as time progresses now that nearly everyone has access to computers and internet at home but not everybody has access to the store they want to shop at. No, I don’t think people will stop going to stores because it is more efficient to see the objects you are buying in person to make sure you know everything about it and you can ask questions when going to the store and get direct answers immediately. I learned quite a lot of interesting things from this article like the SSL encryption, the s in “https”, is your best insurance against theft of your data while it’s being transmitted. No my parents already know the information I shared with them but they did discuss it with me more thoroughly. I think the most risky form of the online forms of payment is the credit card. With the credit card many things can go wrong, especially if your information is hacked since then you could lose all your money quickly.

No, I do not intend to shop online, unless I am in need of an item that cannot be found in the country I am living in. I think that shopping online will be the only way to shop. It will be extremely popular. I think that people will stop going to stores, and they will only shop online. However, there might still be grocery stores for food shopping. I learned that crooks could capture credit card numbers through several ways. To protect yourself from theft look for signs of quality security at sites you use, and make sure that “https” appears in the address bar. I also learned that it isn’t wise to shop at a site you reached by clicking on spam e-mail. I was able to teach my parents to look for seals, to look for the “s” in “https” in the address bar and other ways to prevent bad things from happening. Payment through debit cards seem most risky because the Electronic Fund Transfer Act his law provides considerable protection from liability, but the level of protection diminishes as time passes through the use of this method.

Yes, shoping will become very popular because shoping on the web is more pratical and you dont have to worry about not finding a product because their are endless sites that carry the same type things. I dont think going to stors will end but their is a posibility that shops will end.I learnd if you see a pop-up or a warning that you should not use the site. I was unble to show my parents anything new they are big online shopers and have done their homework on it.Paypal is the most risky way.

No, I do not intend to shop online because I do not like to be waited to get my stuff. No, People will continue going to stores because of people like me. I learned that it is important to look for seals of approval like logos, and the SSL encryption. No, my parents already knew about this information. I think the most risky payment method is by credit card because you have the potential of getting hacked and losing a lot of money.

Yes and I have done online shopping before as well in the past. I think shopping online will become very popular because already people are starting to pay bills online. I think people wont stop going to stores because the site can have a problem, which results you going to the store. I learned several things by reading this article such as locating the security and SSL encryption. I When I shared this with my mom she seemed to already know theses things while talking to her that’s why she only uses her credit card for certain webs sites and prefers to go to the stores to buy something if she feels its not safe to purchase over the internet. I think using credit cards is the most risky payment because there are some hackers and is possible someone can get a hold of someone’s credit card number even if the site is so called “secured”

I never shop online because my parents are always assuring me that it is bad and they are scared that anything can go on especially when its on the internet. Shopping online will become immensely popular because all what you want will be right at your fingertips and sometimes you may find better things online then you do at the actual store. In this article I learned that there are really small but very important ways that you can check if you are using the right site and that using your credit card online does have some pro sides to it. I didn’t teach my parents anything new because they know all this stuff. They use wire transfer to send money to my older sister in the States thus, they know how to insure their protection. I think using debit card is the most risky online form of payment because it is right from your bank account. Anyone at anytime could just steal all the money out of your own personal bank account and you’ll have no money what so ever which is very scary.

Yes, I personally do shop online, but I do it with my parents and know that the sites I use are credible. Shopping online is already quite popular, but I think it will probably become even more popular because people tend to not have enough time to physically go to a store, since it's more practical and quite a bit easier, I would say yes, very popular. I don't think people will stop going to stores, they would just not go as much, but there will always be a percentage that would prefer buying and shopping in person. Reading this article actually gave me a better sense of what I should look for the next time I shop online, I found the comment about the SSL encryption the most helpful. When I shared this information with my parents they seemed to already be aware of a lot of it, but I was able to inform them of the SSL encryption. I think Debit cards seem to be the most risky to use online because your liability may become extremely high after a certain amount of time, causing you to lose even more money.-Leen :)

I don’t shop online, but I do buy programs and my parents will only approve if I can convince them if the program is ok. Shopping online is very popular but later in the future there would be online shopping and physical 3-D printer that you can have at home. Well I haven’t learned anything special because I know what precautions I have to take to buy something online. They actually were surprised of how much they did not know about the risk.

If I shop online, I will use my father’s card that is just for shopping. The popularity of shopping online is increasing these days. That if “https” appears in the address bar, that indicates that digital transmissions from the site are being encrypted. Yes I taught them some new things like what was posted before. Using credit cards seem to me to be the mist risky way of paying, because everyone saves everything in their credit card and if a crook gets a hold of it they will steal everything you have

There has been times where I thought that using eBay and Amazon would be more convenient than going to a store and buy something but Im not allowed to shop online because my parents wont let me and I have to use their credit card. Shopping online is popular already but in the near future, people will become more lazy and they would want to go shoping and buy stuff with a few clicks instead of walking there, so I think that shopping online has a lot of potential to become popular and I think that less people will go to the mall because they can just buy stuff with a few clicks instead of walking so why bother? From this article I learnt that if the “https” appears in the address bar that indicates that digital transmissions from the site are being encrypted. My parent is very aware of the online credit scamming already. One of the most risky online payment are the one with no security back up, or if they don’t use paypal.

i never shop online my dad is against it.i think it will become very very popular because people are getting lazy and don't want to go out anymore also there's always offers and everything so its good deals.i dont know if people would stop going to shops because u cant really buy food online well i dont know maybe you can. but like for clothes people cant try them soo somethimes they are just not what you expect and size etc... so some poeple dont like to shop online for those reasons.learned quite a lot of interesting things from this article like the SSL encryption, the s in “https”, is your best insurance against theft of your data while it’s being transmitted.i didnt really have to because my parents are really aware of all these things. i think the msot risky way of payment is through credit card because your not can get hacked even though they are so called "secured"

I shop online at times, and I feel safe doing so, because I believe that there are some secure sites to shop. I think that online shopping will be very popular because it is easier then going to shops and looking through everything to find what you are looking for. I think that people will always go to stores, but they will do it a lot less, now that there is an easier way to shop. What I learnt is that sites are not safe unless there is a seal of authenticity, and you shouldn’t shop on those sites. My mom doesn’t shop online, so she doesn’t know about all the fraud online. I think credit cards are the most risky because it would be pretty easy to steal someone’s credit card number and you wouldn’t notice.

Yes, I intend to shop online, shopping online would be more popular than its already now people are lazy these days and love the idea of not getting out of their houses to shop they can find a variety of options online. I think people will not stop going to stores, but it will be less percentage of people going if they feel secure online.
I learned several new things by reading this article. I learned the SSL encryption, it's not something good to shop at a site you reached by clicking on spam e-mail, the s in “https”, is the best you can insure against a theft.
I was able to teach them something new, the fact of S in the "https". And to be more secure when using online shopping the online forms of payment seems the most risky is Debit cards, because there are hackers and it's very possible that they could steal someone's credit card number, and steal their money.

The first question certainly seems to me to be one that will probably be asked less and less as time passes nonetheless I don’t plan to shop online unless I have to do so. One example would that if you really want something and can’t find it anywhere and find that something on line then if you really want to take such a risk as this kind of transaction entails. There were certainly many things that one could learn from this article. One such thing would be the various dangers that go along with the use of various methods of online payment as well as bring fourth some of the ways in which our age should be one where we learn some moderation. That is in this age we should find or learn to find a balance between the technological and the physical/ mental realms. I think that in this age where more and more is available online that we could become something akin to what the move Wall-E portrayed us as. As for the last question that one I think is one that simply put has no answer to be put it bluntly.

No, I don’t intend online shopping. I think that shopping online will get so popular that about 70% of the people will depend on it in their everyday shopping. I think that people would still go to stores but the percentage of the people doing that will be less than the people who do shopping online. I didn’t learn much from this article. My parents learned that shopping from stores is still better than shopping online because their credit cards passwords couldn’t be stolen. The online payment seems more risky because passwords can be stolen and used by other people.

I do intend to shop online, I love to buy games online. I believe shopping online will become very popular because it takes out the trouble of going to stores. No, people will continue to go to stores because of the problem of trying on sizes to make sure the item fits one before one wears it. I learned that online shopping might not be as safe as I thought. I also learned some ways to avoid getting my (or my parents’) credit card number stolen such as looking for a safety seal from McAfee, VeriSign, or other security companies. Also, if the letters “https” are in the web address, it is an encrypted site, making it safer. I was able to teach my parents that they should look for the https always. I think payment by debit card seems most risky because of the ebbing of the Electronic Fund Transfer Act’s protection against liabilities with time.
