Blogging is a popular activity. People share their souls in Cyberspace and readers vicariously enjoy the lives of others. This week’s article looks at the ethics of blogging for money. Go to the link below and read the article. Write a reflective comment that answers my questions and expresses your views on the topic.
Is it ethical to write about products for money in a blog that people read because they think you are sharing your honest opinion? Look at one of the author’s blog posting that are linked from the article. How much would you charge to write articles like those in the author’s blog? What types of paid blog articles are acceptable for people to write? What types of articles would you refuse to write? How should people determine the limits of their moral compromise in situations like this?

Writing in blogs that you have no idea what is going on might not be ethical, but from what this article is saying is an easy way to make a quick couple of bucks. Having people believe that you are telling the truth is okay if a person is desperate enough for the money, and I think that I would even do something like this if I could figure out how.
The blog on Alzheimers is pretty good and I would most likely have been happy to donate my money or do shopping at the estore it was talking about. Also, dependinig on who is holding the post, that should be up to them on how much money to hand out. Personally, I wouldn't hand out any more than
$15. Blogs that are for causes would be good to write for, but things like lip injections are just ridiculous. If you are really so interested about it, just look it up on a good website because the person writing could not have any idea what they are talking about. Also, a person shouldn't lie just to post and get some easy money because a person could get hurt, or they could wind up offending someone.
As Shannon said, I don’t think it’s ethical to write about products for money in a blog that people read because they think you are sharing your honest opinion. Getting this kind of money to advertise things that aren’t even true in blogs is wrong. People could get hurt by it and possibly sue the person who wrote this.
Looking at the author who wrote the blog post, “Shop to Benefit Alzheimer's”, I thought it was pretty good. Although it’s good, I wouldn’t charge anything if I would’ve written it. I would rather do it for free because it’s for a special cause. The cause is for helping people who have that disease and for raising money to this foundation. The types of paid blog articles that are acceptable for people to write are term-essays, articles about movies, shops, stores, …etc. Although I wouldn’t want to write articles for blog, the articles that I would mostly refuse to write are articles about religion, a new kind of plastic surgery, animal testing, and lots more. In my opinion, people should stop writing articles for blogs because if this article turns out to be a personal thing, it could hurt people.
I believe that the idea of writing blogs and getting paid for a "honest opinion" it is unethical and wrong because the people who do actually write their own honest opinion are getting mislead by another person's thought or ideas. I would charge 1 million dollars because I would not allow my dignity to stoop down to that low, and to lie about having objects is nothing, but to lie about a injury is just plain low and stupid in my opinion.I believe if any types of paid articles are articles written for charity with real people's life stories. I would refuse to write articles that involve me having to lie to the bloggers and to advertise companies that don't give donations charities. People should determine their limits of their moral by not getting involved by these situations.
Wooksoon / I think that is nonethical. Because, when someone posts the experience of the product, ( when they got money from the products' company) and says something that is not true, it can make custumers fallacious. If I work for that sort of things, I think it would be nice if I get 5percent of advertisement income from the company. If the post was true, then it is acceptable. Because it tells exactly what are problems of the product and what are good things for the product. But I will refuse to write what is not true. It is not advertisement, but deceiving. If I write ads, I will make rules for writing them. I won't write false things and also I won't try to damage the products' comany by harshly blaming it.
When it comes to me I don’t believe that when you write about products for money in a Blog is unethical, because some people who might read the fake comment might believe in what the author is saying, however he is wrong. Another reason why I believe that fake blogging is unethical is because it might cause problems between companies and many other world wide organizations because in one Blog a person would say that for instance Colgate tooth-paste is now selling furniture which is cheaper than the furniture on E-bay, so that would cause the two companies fight and have a disagreement; just because a person wanted to make a little money. That’s why I believe that payperpost should be banned.
I believe it is ethical. It is up to the reader to determine whether or not an author is making a valid point. The reader can, simply Google the authors information. If I were a blogger I would charge 25 dollars per blog post and 1 dollar per comment.
I believe any kind of paid article is ok, if the blogger is getting paid to write he obviously knows how to write. The only moral limits people should have is in medical cases, claiming they're doctors when in fact there not.
i don't think its a good idea to pay for writing a blog. when you write a blog you write about maybe your feelings and about some good friends that you have. Its not like your writing a fact about things in the world. I don't think its fair to pay for writing a blog maybe people may not afford it. this is my opinion on paying for writing blogs.
I think it would be ethical, because it is a quick and easy way for people to earn a good wage of cash. It depends on the subject and the size of the paper for the amount. Anything within the school codes is a reasonable choice. I wouldn't write about my personal experiences. Well as long as you go under any school codes then you should be fine.
DUD!!!! That kid is pretty smart. If I could do with that kid did I'd probably do it to. Like think about it, Don't have to go to work don't have to make a living just make it like Google and advertise.
Personally I don't care much about or have an opinion about labo suction but I would definitely donate to help out. The cause is a good cause is not an unethical cause. But the way he's sort of tricking you to click on the link by disguising it a little, I think is a little wrong.
