This article was really confusing to me. Google’s decision to sell advertising on pages of search results on YouTube is a pretty good idea, but then again it’s stupid. It’s a really fast way for somebody to get noticed, but if somebody was really out searching for talent they’d find it their self. Technology is growing quicker than you can imagine, and it’s all just so confusing. I think the click to buy will end up being the most successful.
I agree, this article is very confusing.It talks about google, youtube, yahoo and amazon.For google to put its advertisment on youtube is a smart thing and a bad thing to do because if they advertise on youtube, google would become more "known" or "shared". The bad thing is people would start thinking google is re lying on youtube. Of course, the click-to-buy would be successful because people are lazy and whatever they are buying would probably be delivered to them quickly because of the technology.
I think Google made a smart move to sell advertising on You tube. This will certainly bring in lots of money as many people who upload videos love people watching their videos. This will cause them to buy advertising. I think Google's smartest move was when they sold advertising to large companies such as CBS. I think You Tube's advertising feature is great for people who want their videos watched, especially companies.
I think that Google deserves to make at least some profit from that expensive purchase of YouTube, so as long as the advertising isn't too distracting, I think it's OK to have a few ads. I think that the most successful way of advertising that Google has used so far has been putting the ads directly in videos, because then you could be absolutely positive that people would notice the ads. About the assumption that the product manager made, I think that this is partly true, because there are many animal-stunt videos on YouTube and they are being watch largely be a teenage audience. But there are many other types of videos on YouTube (think music videos, advertisements, movie trailers, blogs, etc.) so that assumption is not 100% true.
My reaction was perfectly natural towards Google's decision to sell advertising on pages of search results at the YouTube website. The most successful means is to make a video. Many videos hit millions of hits in one day. That is a huge amount of exposure, so I say why not?

This is an interesting topic. The only advertising I see is the Google Chrome web browser. It is not a good browser so I can see why they need all the advertisement they can get.

I am not surprised on almost every website I visit or browse their is an ad and it usually has nothing to do with the purpose of the website, which in some ways is understandable but interesting. I do think that depending on how much money your company has it can be a bit pricey to display an ad and certainly if it's popular. I think that the ads are gonna be the biggest revenue to Google on Youtube.
I think adding advertisements on the youtube site is really smart thing to do. Since youtube is third highest search result after google and yahoo. Also it really is a good idea. Youtube will get a lot of money, and advertisers will also get a lot of hits, since youtube is quit famous site. However I think some ad might be really distracting and offending to some people, so if google can avoid that this would turn out just good.

The reason is that those companies want people to look at their videos and so they would be willing to buy advertisements on YouTube so that people would see those advertisements, and would go and watch those videos. I think that Google would gain a huge amount of money from those advertisements.
I think that it was the right decesion for Google to sell advertising on YouTube. This will help them get more money. Google's smartest move was when the company sold it's advertisements to a huge company such as CBS. The advertising is great for big companies and it will help Google get a lot of money in the future.
